QuadSpinner believes in actively serving the community and the environment. Here are some of the diverse ways we endeavor to make a positive impact. Education and hands-on fieldwork are common threads throughout.
Our online infrastructure that serves thousands of users and delivers gigabytes of data every day is powered by renewable energy for the most part. We are making strides to achieve 100% renewable energy in the near future.
We work to open-source tools and libraries that we develop in-house. We also contribute to larger open-source projects. Often these are open-source libraries or frameworks that we use ourselves and will improve for our own use. By open-sourcing them, we can give back to the community and help others who might be facing similar challenges.
We have made contributions to high value repositories as AdaptiveCPP, ImageMagick/ImageMagick.NET, WPF, and dotNET, among others. We also financially sponsor open-source developers and important open-source projects.
We are passionately committed to preserving the natural world. We support various grassroot efforts around the globe - including donating to local NGOs, participating in wildlife and nature conservation campaigns and organizations, and more.
We established the Mahim Pandhi Wildlife Foundation to fill a major gap in crocodile conservation, which led to a huge citizen science initiative in Western India. Over the years, the organization has grown to address conservation issues well beyond the reptilian world.
Our background in deep technology at QuadSpinner helps us bring new aspects to wildlife conservation, including hydrological reconnaissance and mapping, UAV-based remote missions, and high-efficiency data crunching.
Dr. Brinky Desai, PhD, manages the organization and its research projects, and coordinates impactful endeavors with scientists from across the world.

Individually, we’ve been volunteers and leaders for a variety of nonprofits wherever we’ve lived.
New Mexico, USA – Serving the Latir District and the Enchanted Circle as Volunteer Firefighters and EMS First Responders for the Latir Volunteer Fire Department (LVFD).
It’s also fulfilling to expand the organizational leadership and outreach as President of LVFD, Inc., the department’s charitable nonprofit.
Washington, DC, USA – Raising funds for charities such as the American Cancer Society, American Heart Association, Arthritis Foundation, and National Multiple Sclerosis Society through community race events.
Guam, U.S. Territory – Organiziing athletic events and fundraisers to support local causes across the island.
Hong Kong – Participating in Oxfam’s 100km MacLehose Trail challenge to support poverty-alleviation and emergency-relief programs throughout Asia and Africa. The event, which originated as a military training exercise for the Gurkha Signals Regiment in 1981, became a popular team fundraiser.
Costa Rica - Supporting the awareness and rehabilitation work of El Centro de Rescate Las Pumas, including outreach to ranchers on practices to reduce human–wildlife conflict involving threatened species such as the jaguar.
Also participated in wildlife rescue calls, educated local ranchers on conservation and human-animal conflicts such as protection strategies vs. killing predators (including the endangered jaguar) that would come onto their land and consume livestock.
